Jenkins Painting, llc is a painting company specializing in the removal of failed wood coatings and stains, and has been contracting for over 24 years.
We are a certified applicator for PPG ProLuxe® and Sashco® wood coating systems.
Our dedicated coating removal system is chemical stripping; we use Dumond Chemicals, Inc products – Smart strip™ Pro.
Media blasting is a good option (we believe that chemical stripping does not remove any of the hand-drawn texturing left by a draw knife) followed up with a mechanical sand or the use of buffing brushes so that the surface of the logs/timbers will have a more appealing finish.
